Architectural Construction Notes:

• We want the kitchen ceiling to be higher and pitched, following the slope of the roof. 
• The original foot print (south side) of the second floor will not contain an attic and the structure of the second floor ceiling will also have pitched ceilings.
• The addition of the second floor (northwest wing) will be a few feet taller than the original roof.
• If the utility room is larger than required, we’ll shrink it to give more room to the bathroom and laundry room.
• If it costs less to raise the roof (increase the height of the ceiling by a few feet on the second floor) then we’d prefer to raise the roof and not do the second floor addition.
